Skate the St. Patrick’s Day Parade with Woody’s!

woodys_web

You read it right! Woody’s and the friends of Chatham Skatepark  will be at the St.Patrick’s Day Parade AGAIN this year and we need you to come on down and skate the Parade with us!

We will be skating the whole Parade route and no one will be able to say anything about it! We have a permit!

This is an “all hands on deck” call-out to the skate community in Savannah and surrounding areas… Tell your kids, tell your wife and your husband! If you skate, blade or BMX, all you have to do to skate the Parade with us is sign-up and show up!

WHEN?
This year’s Parade will take place on Thursday, March 17th.
If you plan to be on the Parade with us, you will have to show up for the parade line-up around 11 AM!
Latecomers may join our group as we skate down the Parade route… just make sure you have your skateboard handy!

WHY?
We are skating the Parade to promote this sport by showing the city that we are here! We want to give this community a face and let Savannah see that we are NOT and do NOT look like criminals. That our community is huge and this sport should be recognized as such…. oh, and to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day…

HOW?
For now, all you have to do is sign up! We will contact you with further information via email and updates to this site.
We will be making t-shirts for everyone that signs-up… so, make sure to get your size right on the registration form and  expect to spend a few bucks on it.

ANYTHING ELSE?
Yes indeed! As you may already know, our skatepark operates on a very small budget… So, if you or someone you know has experience raising funds (quickly) or would like to sponsor or help us with the costs of this gigantic undertaking, let us know. WE CAN USE ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET! Don’t be shy and email us at skate@woodys.skatethatshit.com

Enough talking! Now it is time for action!
